All you need to know from us about the Red Sox, Tigres and Ole Miss REbels.
The Red Sox made it official Thursday, signing pitcher Joel Pineiro to a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2008. Terms were not released, but the Globe’s Nick Cafardo reported in today’s Boston Globe it was a $4 million deal. The Associated Press reported the deal included $2 million in incentives based on games finished, which basically means he’d gain that extra cash should he become the Sox closer, a job he figures to compete for in spring training. Really Cool, Daddy! Foot's feeling better. Should be ready for opening day!Jenny
Thanks for all the info, dad. Coach Kennedy had his first talk show at the library sports bar last Thursday. He'll be here every thusday. It can be heard on the Ole Miss network. Chech out olemissports.com to see if you can listen on the web. He did a great job. He's got a great dry sense of humor and is really happy to be here in Oxford. He also is aware that it's going to be an uphill battle for a while. I think the rebels played a good game saturday night against Kentucky.
